#MFXTOP
Just a quick blog here, but it's an exciting one.
Thank you for everyone who has participated in #MFXTOP I hope together we can continue it's success throughout the year.
February's competition is underway and already has had a few entries and a decent amount of buzz on twitter.
So what's the announcement?
ELEMENT GAMES
I have already mentioned http://elementgames.co.uk/ plenty of times on this blog and we've always big them up on the podcast
Byron and his crew make up what is simply the best independent retailer on the internet in the UK (maybe the world).
Every time I order something it turns up, when it was supposed to, if not earlier.
Their site is easy to navigate the, the live stock buttons are fantastic and the sheer range of stuff they have is great.
Obviously, I predominantly use them to get my Malifaux fix, but they do so much more.
If Malifaux is all you care about, still check out the other ranges for proxies, basing, paints and all that good stuff.
Now not only are they somewhere you should be visiting regardless, well now, if you enter #MFXTOP you have a chance to win a voucher to spend in their store!
I have to thank Byron for this brilliant donation. I know this is not the first time he has given back to the community and I am so glad I can reward the people who have entered this competition by proxy, thanks to Byron and Elementgames.co.uk
And much more?
Not only have I now got something for the winners, I am accumulating a little bit more swag.
Thanks to @OldManMyke (that lovely Mike Marshall) and now being a Malifoolbro, Malifbrofool, Foolibro...
on Malifools as well as Malibros, I've been blessed with some sexy @Malifools swag.
I will be giving some this away over the next few months as smaller prizes...
The Challenge to You!
#MFXTOP1 went down very well, the tied for first place winners @ThatDarnSatan & @MarkJByrne need to contact me via Twitter DM (either @psientologist or @TheMalibros) as I am back tracking for them.
The next voucher will be given to the winner of February's competition.
The swag, this is where the challenge comes in.
Think about them as stretch goals.
If we hit 25 entrants I will send out something for who comes in second place.
If we beat 27 entrants (that is how many January had) I will send out prizes to second and third place.
If we get to 35 entrants, I will not only do all the above but the most entry from each faction with the most votes will receive something too!
Sidenote, entrants, not entries, but as previously mentioned (check out previous blog posts) you can tweet me multiple entries.
Thank you everyone
Huge thanks again to @ElementGames_ for their support
Thanks to @OldManMyke for treating me so (probably too) nicely.
Finally thanks to you, the person taking their time to read this and even more thanks if you are taking part with #MFXTOP
Check out Element games, even if they were not so generous I would be recommending them anyway.
If you are working on your #MFXTOP and/or #ToMB stuff, check out the tutorials on their site as they are amazing, quick techniques, technical techniques, basing and even more.
Listen to Malifools and @Fools_Daily (if you don't already), even the episodes I'm not on (they're probably better).
A final sidenote would to be to check out @GuildBall, coincidently Element games are supporting it and Fools Daily just did a week of episodes on it (if you binge listen, it's about a hour and a half long I think).
Go check it out on Facebook too if you're into that sort of thing.
It's a skirmish game, based on medieval football (soccer) with a fantasy (Game of Thrones level) feel.
From the artwork alone I was interested, after listening to Mat and Loxam along with the passion they've shown, I feel pretty certain Guild Ball will turn out amazing.
The WiP stuff, renders, everything looks fantastic. So go check it out, their Kickstarter starts soon!
That's all for now.
Turns out I typed more than I'd imagine.
Apologies for lack of Friday blog.
However, expect to see a #ToMB post from me soon and the #MFXTOP Tuesday update as usual.
Byeeeee.
